Why it comes as a hard tablet
A new format, developed specifically for bees. The same actives are also sold as a 1.25-litre liquid you stir into syrup — Reset – Natural Hive Hygiene. The tablet is the same thing in solid form, for the stretches of the season when syrup is not an option.
The body of it is powdered sugar milled twice and pressed until it is hard as stone. The hardness is the whole point: the bees work it down slowly instead of emptying it in a night, and what this particular tablet carries — the vitamins, enzymes, probiotics or hive-hygiene ingredients listed below — goes in with the feed.
It takes up damp. A block of hard sugar in the hive draws moisture out of the air around it — which is the one thing a colony least wants left over winter.
A reserve you need not be there for. Cold weeks when syrup cannot be given, a long flow, the run-up to winter: the tablet stays in the hive as food the colony can reach on its own.
It tells you what they need. How fast a tablet goes down is information. A colony working through one quickly is short of something; one leaving it alone is not.
It can stay in through the honey flow. Bees cannot carry a solid block up into the supers, so they take only what they need themselves — the actives reach the colony, not your crop.
Different tablets combine. They can go into the same hive at the same time — one of each, if you like — and they do not work against one another.
Product Description
A concentrated tablet formulation combining natural probiotics, minerals and plant extracts. Dissolves easily in hive syrup or water. Made from 100% natural ingredients — no chemical additives, no residues.
How beekeepers use it
Added to supplemental feeding syrup to support colony gut flora balance and vitality during feeding periods. Particularly used in spring build-up and autumn preparation as part of a natural hive care programme.

Common questions
- Does it contain anything of animal origin?
- The manufacturer declares this product to be entirely of plant and mineral origin, containing no ingredients of animal origin — no honey, milk, meat, egg, animal protein or animal fat.
- How much do I give, and how often?
- One tablet a month is enough for a colony of ordinary strength, so a box of 10 lasts a long time. In winter you can put in more — it does no harm, and the tablets also help absorb moisture in the hive.
- Can I give too much?
- No. There is no overdose to worry about. The bees take what they need, and what is left sits in the hive and goes on drawing up moisture. In winter you would put in more anyway.
- Can I give different tablets at the same time?
- Yes. Different tablets can go into the same hive at the same time — one of each works perfectly well. They do not work against each other, and the colony takes what it needs from each.
- How is this different from the 1.25 L bottle?
- Same actives, two ways of giving them. The liquid is stirred into syrup, which suits the warm part of the season when you are feeding anyway. The tablet is for when syrup is not an option — cold weeks, the middle of a flow, or the run-up to winter — and it doubles as a moisture-absorbing food reserve the colony can reach on its own.
- Does it leave any residue in the honey?
- No. The products leave no residue in honey or comb, so a treated colony still produces honey you can harvest and sell normally.
- Can I use it during the honey flow?
- Yes. Because nothing carries over into the honey, they can be used during the flow rather than only in the gaps between harvests.
- How often can it be used?
- They can be used continuously through the season and repeated season after season — there is no withdrawal period to plan around and no rotation requirement.
- The product has a smell — is something wrong?
- No, that is expected. The products are naturally made and contain fermented ingredients, which can give off a noticeable smell. Bees find it attractive rather than off-putting — it is a scent they seek out.
- How long does it keep, and how should it be stored?
- Each pack carries a recommended use-by date, generally 24 months from manufacture. Keep it in its original packaging between 5 and 20 °C, out of direct sunlight. The smell and any settling may change over time — that belongs to a naturally produced, fermented product.
- Can I return an opened product?
- No. For health and hygiene reasons, a product whose own vented plastic cap or inner packet has been opened cannot be returned (EU Consumer Rights Directive art. 16). The outer shipping box does not count — you may open the parcel and look at the goods. Products with their own seal intact can be returned within 14 days.
