This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies buzzin-bees.com uses, and what your rights are. It complies with the EU ePrivacy Directive and the Swedish Electronic Communications Act (LEK).
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember preferences or maintain session state.
Cookies We Use
Without your consent, none. Browsing this site — reading, searching, filling a cart, going through checkout — sets no cookies at all unless you accept statistics cookies (below). We verified this by requesting every page and reading what the server sends back.
There is one exception, and only if you have an account with us: signing in stores a Supabase session cookie so you stay signed in between pages. It is set when you log in and cleared when you log out. It is strictly necessary — without it, being logged in would not survive a single click — so it needs no consent.
What we store in your browser instead
Your cart lives in your browser's local storage under the key bb_cart_v1. It is not a cookie and it is never sent to us: it holds the product, the quantity and the price you saw, so the cart survives a reload. It is written the first time you add something and cleared when you empty the cart or complete an order. You can delete it yourself by clearing site data for buzzin-bees.com.
If you reach the checkout, the details you type are held in your browser's session storage under bb_checkout_v1, so that coming back from the payment page does not make you retype your address. It never reaches us from there, and it is deleted when you close the tab or complete an order.
Your answer to the cookie question below is kept the same way, under bb_consent_v2: whether you accepted or rejected, and when. It lets us not ask again, it is never sent to us, and after twelve months we ask again.
We use no tracking pixels. Advertising cookies are set only if you accept the cookie question below, and then for a single purpose: counting which of our advertisements led to an order. See the next section.
Videos are not loaded with the page. You see a still picture served from our own site, and the YouTube player is fetched only when you press play. It comes from youtube-nocookie.com, Google's privacy-enhanced mode; from that moment YouTube (Google) receives your IP address and may store information in your browser.
Fonts are served from our own site, so no font request goes to Google.
Statistics and ad measurement — only if you accept
With your consent we use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) to see how the site is used: which pages are read, roughly where visitors are and what they click on — not who you are. Nothing is loaded until you press Accept; if you press Reject, Google receives nothing at all.
_ga— tells one browser from another with a random number; kept for up to 2 years._ga_8W9Q12D35E— keeps track of the current visit; kept for up to 2 years._gcl_au,_gcl_aw— may be set to remember that you arrived from one of our Google ads, so that an order can be counted back to it; kept for up to 90 days.
Since 23 September 2026 the same consent also runs our Google Ads tag (Google Ireland Limited). It is there so we can see which advertisement led to an order — we advertise our own honey, and we would rather not pay for advertising blindly. We send Google no customer data with it, we build no advertising audiences from it, and we ask it for no personalised advertising.
Since 3 October 2026 the same consent also runs the Meta pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited), for the advertisements we run on Facebook and Instagram. It is there for the same reason as the Google Ads tag: to see which advertisement led to an order.
_fbp— tells one browser from another with a random number; kept for up to 90 days._fbc— set only if you arrive from one of our Facebook or Instagram ads, so that an order can be counted back to it; kept for up to 90 days.
One thing works differently from Google, and we would rather say it plainly. If you arrive from one of our Meta ads and then place an order, we send Meta your email address in hashed form — a one-way code — together with the click, from our server, so that the sale can be matched to the advertisement. Meta never receives the address itself, and our server sends it nothing else: no name, no telephone number, no address, no IP address and no list of what you bought. The pixel running in your browser is a separate matter: every request a browser makes carries your IP address and user agent, so Meta sees those, and no setting can prevent it. Orders from any other source are not reported to Meta at all. We build no advertising audiences and ask for no personalised advertising, and we have switched off Meta's “automatic advanced matching”, which would otherwise read what you type into forms on the site.
Before anything is sent we remove order numbers and keys from web addresses (for example the link in your withdrawal or review email), and we have switched off Google's cross-device tracking and its personalised advertising. The Meta pixel is not loaded at all on pages whose address contains such a key. How the data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
Changing your mind: press Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Rejecting after you have accepted deletes both the statistics and the advertising cookies straight away.
