On 24 September we were on the front page of Österåker’s local newspaper, with a full spread inside. The best part of it is about the neighbours.

On Thursday 24 September we were on the front page of Kanalen, the local newspaper in Österåker, with a full spread inside. The reporter, Lina Abrahamsson, had come out to us in Svinninge, looked into the hives and stayed a while.

The neighbours, and the fruit
The best part of the article is not really about us. When the first two hives went out, Adam was nervous that they would bother someone. Instead the neighbours started coming by with fruit from their gardens — they felt their own harvests had improved since the bees arrived.
They would bring fruit and say: This is your share.
Two hives have become eight. Next year we are thinking about two more.
